We are excited to announce Ashley Gorman as the new head softball coach at Southwest Christian. Ashley Gorman has been involved with the Southwest Christian softball team the past two seasons as their pitching clinician. She is thrilled to move into this new role and further develop and mentor an amazing group of young ladies. Ashley grew up in the Twin Cities and started playing fast pitch softball at a young age and continued her career at North Dakota State University. Ashley started in 62 of 104 games played during her career ... Hitting .236 (34-144) with four home runs and 21 RBI ... Has .389 slugging percentage, .313 on-base percentage ... Has five multi-hit games in career ... Has stolen 22 bases in 25 attempts ... Recorded 35 runs scored, 10 doubles and three sacrifice hits ... Thrown out 10 of 43 opposing baserunners attempting to steal ... Has .974 fielding percentage (311po-26a-9e).
She has served in various coaching roles that range from youth association, travel ball and high school over the years. She has been an active board member for Eden Prairie Fast pitch Association for three years now and stays involved with various pitching clinics and camps in the area. Residing in Eden Prairie, she and her husband, Matt, have three children - Brynn (12), Tyler (8), and Maya (4). She is involved in women’s Bible study at her local church. Ashley looks forward to using this incredible game of softball to glorify God on and off the dirt.
