Congratulations to Coach Mark Anderson on winning his 500th career soccer game on Monday, September 21 versus Spectrum defeating them 5-0.
Coach Anderson started his career at Minnehaha Academy coaching the girls varsity soccer team at the age of 22 years old in 1983. Coach Anderson coached at Minnehaha until 2017 before coming to Southwest Christian.
Coach Anderson has seen some great success with the Stars so far. He earned a share at conference titles in the MCAA conference and is on pace to win or tie a share of the conference title this year as well. He is the first Stars girls soccer coach to have a team ranked in the top-10 (MSHSL Coaches Poll). Mark had a record of 6-9-2 in his first year at SWCHS and an impressive 15-3 record his second year. The 2020 varsity squad onlye has one loss this season so far.
Mark currently has a record of 500-174-68. Mark Anderson has the highest wins as an active coach in the state of Minnesota and is already a member of the soccer coaches hall of fame!
Not only has Mark won a lot in his career, he has continued to influence many soccer players towards the faith in his long tenure. He has continued to hold true to his three core beliefs of faith integration, fun, and field of excellence. Congratulations, Mark, on this incredible milestone in your coaching career!
